about me ✨

I am a PhD student of General Linguistics at the University of Tartu. I hold a Master's degree in General Linguistics and a Bachelor's degree in Swedish Language and Literature. Outside my alma mater, I've also had the opportunity to study in Tallinn and Uppsala.
My main research interests include multilingualism (especially code-switching), youth language, and interactional sociolinguistics. Currently, I'm combining these interests in my dissertation. Under the guidance of Associate Professors Dr Virve-Anneli Vihman and Dr Kristiina Praakli, I'm researching the spoken language use of teenage Swedish Estonians. Like any linguist, I have a few side topics that deeply interest me: internet linguistics and constructed languages!
Outside of academia, I work as a freelance content creator and language editor. I've been fortunate to have worked under experts from various fields (e.g., language technology, communications, localisation, education). Through these experiences, I've obtained valuable skills that I hope to implement in a more academic setting and vice versa. ヽ(•‿•)ノ
